What is Required Login Feature?

Our "Required Login" feature allows you to convert protected webpages that require authentication. This includes password-protected sites, member-only content, private dashboards, authenticated pages, and any website that requires login credentials. Simply provide your username/email and password, and our tool will automatically log in before capturing the webpage.

How to Use Required Login Feature

Follow these simple steps to convert protected webpages that require login:

1

Open Show Options

On the WebtoPDFConverter homepage, scroll down and click the "Show Options" button to expand all available conversion options.

2

Enable Required Login

Look for the checkbox labeled "Required Login" in the Show Options section. Check this box to enable the login feature.

3

Enter Login Credentials

After checking the "Required Login" box, login options will appear. Fill in the required fields:

  • Username/Email - Enter your username or email address used to log in to the website (required)
  • Password - Enter your password for the website (required)
4

Optional: Login Page URL

If the login page URL is different from the target page URL, you can specify it in the "Login Page URL" field. For example:

  • Target URL: https://example.com/dashboard
  • Login Page URL: https://example.com/login

If left empty, our tool will use the target URL and attempt to find the login form automatically.

5

Set Wait Time (Optional)

The "Wait Time After Login" field allows you to specify how long to wait after logging in before capturing the page. This is useful for pages that load content dynamically after login.

  • Default: 2000 milliseconds (2 seconds)
  • Range: 0 to 10000 milliseconds (0 to 10 seconds)
  • Increase this value if the page takes time to load content after login
6

Enter Target URL and Convert

Enter the URL of the protected webpage you want to convert (the page you see after logging in). Configure any other settings you need, and click the "Convert" button. Our tool will:

  1. Navigate to the login page (or target URL if login page not specified)
  2. Automatically fill in your credentials
  3. Submit the login form
  4. Wait for the specified time
  5. Capture the authenticated page
  6. Generate your PDF or image

💡 Pro Tips for Required Login Feature

  • Use Login Page URL: If the login page is different from the target page, always specify the login page URL for better reliability
  • Wait Time: Increase wait time if your page loads content dynamically after login (e.g., dashboards with charts, data tables)
  • Credentials: Make sure your username/email and password are correct. Our tool cannot bypass incorrect credentials
  • Two-Factor Authentication: This feature works with standard username/password login. Pages requiring 2FA or OTP may not work
  • Session-based sites: Works best with sites that maintain sessions after login
  • Security: Your credentials are processed securely and are never stored. They are only used for the conversion process
  • Testing: If conversion fails, try increasing the wait time or verify that the login page URL is correct

⚠️ Important Notes

  • This feature is designed for websites you have legitimate access to
  • Only use this feature with websites you own or have permission to access
  • Your credentials are processed securely and are not stored on our servers
  • Some websites with advanced security measures (CAPTCHA, 2FA, etc.) may not be compatible
  • If you encounter issues, try increasing the wait time or check if the login page URL is correct
